5 Intentions & Reflections for The New Year.

Hi beauty, thanks for coming by!

I’m Daniella, a Holistic Health Coach passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and helping others take healthy steps for their health as well.

I’d love to share some of my favorite check-in, reflections and intentions for setting ourselves up for achieving our goals, and better understanding ourselves, our strengths, desires, challenges, and successes in mind, body, and soul.

Let’s do it!

The New Year is here. What will it bring? What will you create? What will you attract, develop, and focus on?

There are some who like setting intentions and reflections at the start of the new year, and there is definitely still time for that, as we are still in January. Others take time every couple months, or whenever feels right for them, to check in, reflect, tweak, and redirect if need be.

Remember, the goal is to do what works for you and what resonates for your growth, in a way that doesn’t feel pressuring or bring on shame or guilt. It’s about taking time to reflect on what is important to you, how you want to be better, remembering, recognizing, and celebrating the things that you HAVE done, and little steps you take to become more and more you, and the healthiest version of yourself every day.

I happen to be someone who loves reflection. I don't do it on a daily basis, but when I feel like a lot is going on in life, or I am going through a life transition, I love getting the journal out to unload my thoughts, do some soul searching, and check in with alignment, goals, desires, and the little things in my every day life.

Find a cozy spot. Maybe out in the sun (or near a sunny window if its too cold), or all cozy in your bed or on the couch with a throw blanket. You can light a candle, have a warm cup of tea, take some deep breaths to ground yourself, and even put some relaxing background music on if you’d like.

Reflection and Intentions for the New Year/Check Ins:
  1. What are some wins you’ve had in the last couple months- year?

Don’t get nervous if nothing big comes to mind. Remember- it’s all about the little things too, and maybe even more so. What were some of those accomplishments? Brags? :) Maybe you took a step toward a certain goal you’ve been having, or started eating more veggies, or saying no when things didn’t sit well with you. Maybe you took a course in something you’ve been interested in, finished your degree, or started a new job? Maybe you remained calm in situations you usually lashed out in, or took time to go on more walks or time for yourself.

Give yourself time to think back. This may jog your memory for goals you want to do as well, which you can come back to later.

2. How did you feel accomplishing them? Which emotions came to mind? Bottle that memory and feeling you had, get into the feeling of the memory if you can.

3. What do you want to let go of and not bring forward with you? What do you feel is no longer serving you or you are only doing it because people will judge you if not, but it doesn't sit well with you?

4. What did you learn from the past year? Personal life? Relationships? Work? Mistakes and difficult experiences can be learning experiences (which I know you don't want to re-live, but maybe there is something good you can take away from it?) Was there any takeways from bigger collective/ world events?

5. The Upgraded Version of You:

  • What do you want for the new year/for yourself? Envision it. Write it. Dream on it. Truly believe it can happen for you. Because it really can.

  • Are there affirmations you want to tell yourself to help guide yourself toward more abundance, health, wealth, love, success, inner calm….

  • What do you want to Feel like in the new year? How do you want to look and what energy do you want to embody?

  • Wrapping it together: What is the vision you have for your future self? What do you look like? Act? Feel like? What do you do? Where do you live? Envision it vividly. Pro tip for manifestation (though I am 100% still learning!): think of it every morning right when you wake up, and as you’re drifting off to sleep.

Bonus Tip: Put it into Action!

Don't stress yourself out about the HOW, and all of these things you just wrote down that you want for this year. Instead, what are two baby action steps you want to take toward your goals? How will you remember what you want to do? What will remind you? (and alarm? Sticky note? Accountability buddy? Vision Board)

You got this. I know you already possess so much incredible potential, and are well on your way toward that future you desire.

Xx
